Erasmus+, International Student Exchange Programme (ISEP) & Non-EU bilateral agreements.

Erasmus+

This EU programme helps universities across Europe to work together. Many institutes and departments of Leiden University have signed Erasmus+ agreements for student exchange with more than 150 European partner universities in total. Ask your home university coordinator if there is an Erasmus+ exchange agreement with Leiden in your field. If you are an Erasmus+ Traineeship student a personal agreement will be made between you and Leiden University. Please note that you follow the same application procedure as the Erasmus+ Study students.

ISEP: A Worldwide Network for International Education

ISEP is a network of over 300 colleges and universities in 50 countries. Its aim is to provide affordable access to international education for students from all backgrounds. Learn more about this non-profit organisation on the ISEP website.

Non-EU bilateral agreements

Leiden University has over 70 bilateral agreements for student exchange with partner universities in Africa, Asia, Australia, Latin America, the Middle East and North America. Some of these apply to specific departments, while others are university-wide agreements. Ask your home university coordinator if there is a bilateral agreement with Leiden in your field.
